Description:
Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequences and processes for the assembly of sub-assemblies and finished devices.
Responsibilities
• Will maximize process through put. • Process Capability initiatives • Equipment Procurement/Validation • Problem solving • Scrap and rework analysis • Training • Will develop and maintain products and processes. • Assembly Procedures • Fixturing • Process Validation • Routings • Problem solving • Service requirements • Compliance with standard operating procedures • Will assist Quality Assurance in resolving product issues. • Problem solving • Process Improvements • Will provide customer service and team development. • Achieving team goals and supporting metrics • Setting and achieving training goals and plans • Providing development and guidance for assigned Co-Op/Intern/Technician/Engineer. • Developing and conducting Co-Op/Intern/Technician performance appraisals. Physical Requirements
• Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. • Must have the ability to work with and assemble small objects and component parts. • Ability to operate small hand tools, inspection equipment, and common office equipment. • Ability to operate in a fast paced environment, sometimes requiring extended work hours. Mental Requirements
• Must be able to generate, follow and explain detailed proposals and operating procedures (i.e. assembly instructions, inspection procedures, and capital project proposals). • Must be able to analyze and correct complex product and/or process issues using independent judgement. • Must be able to routinely make decisions that effect immediate operations. • Must be able to plan, organize, and implement multiple concurrent tasks. Qualifications/Work Experience Preferred
• Excellent analytical skills • Excellent interpersonal communications skills • Demonstrated ability to operate small hand tool, inspection equipment, and common office equipment • Demonstrated mechanical and/or electrical problem solving skills • 3-5 Years related experience • Basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database) Education/Special Training Required
• B.S. engineering (mechanical, electrical, or industrial)
