WavMax/Blue Wave Broadband Networks***Nov 2000-July 2005 and Oct 2006-Oct 2008 Chairman/CEO I was originally the Founder and major investor. The company acquired and constructed over 100 wireless transmission sites in 2 Western states and was the largest wireless braodband company in coverage area of homes and businesses in the Rocky Mountain/Southwest at the time. After the growth and mergers, I reduced my involvement to strategic efforts and board activities. Several key executives were brought in with experience with large telecom companies to run the operations and continue growth. After a few years it was discovered the previous operational management had developed problems, I was brought back in by the Board in October 2006 to assume President/Acting CEO/COO to help restructure the company operations and financial position in order to effect an orderly sale or merger of company assets, maximizing value for shareholders and creditors. REstucture was completed in Jan 2008. The successful sale of assets to another telecom provider was completed in late 2008.
UltimateCom Broadband * Oct 1998-March 2000 President/CEO UltimateCom was one of the first companies in the US to successfully deploy commercially viable wireless broadband services to consumers and businesses. The company deployed the technologies in Colorado and Georgia. The company was later merged with a larger telecom provider who offered both wired and wireless services. The original investors realized a very positive return on investment.
1995 - 1998 Semi-retired Investor/Traveling with family/Consulting
FS&P Inc. **July 1993 - Aug 1995 President Company was a 45 year old regional consumer and agricutural retail operation. The company had gone through two generations of management and was entering the mature stage in its market during a time of declining revenues in the agricultural sector. I was hired to develop and implement strategies that would resurrect revenue growth and again bring the company to profitability. Within 18 months, and through a total revamp of the retail inventory tracking and accounting systems, as well as product offerings and introduction of several completely new product/service lines; the company was back to profitability and had its first increase in revenue in 3 years. I helped the owners discreetly locate various targeted buyers and negotiated a sale of the company to a larger entity in the same business who wanted to expand geographically. The owners were delighted that I was able to negotiate a sale price for the company that realized nearly double what they had been offered two years earlier.
